On October 21, 2024 council approved that the City of Reno relinquish responsibility for billing and customer service back to Frontier Waste. The city will no longer be responsible for trash. Starting on April 21, 2025 all customers will need to contact Frontier Waste to get their account information, set up auto draft, and call for bulk pickups or missed trash, please state that you were an existing Reno customer please. Please contact Frontier at your earliest convenience on or after April 21st to avoid interruption of service. Frontier will start billing April 30, 2025.. If you have any questions or concerns, you will now need to call Frontier Waste customer service. Frontier Wastes contact information is as follows

The City of Reno will not be billing for trash with the next billing cycle, but if you have any past due balances due for prior services they will still show on your bill until paid in full. Please contact the City of Reno if you have a deposit for your trash service so there can be a credit issued, this does not include customer’s water deposit; it is trash deposits only. To close your trash only accounts, you will need to fill out the termination of service form. Citizens that have trash and water service with the city, we will close the trash service automatically.
